Cross country On Wednesday the sixth of September. At Farndon park we did we did cross country. I came 9th. Before we started we did warm up.
First the eight year old girls went. Ready set bang off they went. Second went the eight year old boys ready set go - off they went . Third the nine year old girls went. Slap off they went . Then it was the nine year old boys - ready set Go! I leaped out of sight
I heard cheering in the crowd. I smelled the sweat dripping down my face. I tasted the nerves. I thought I was getting faster.
